Slowly they got onstage and nervously, they began to perform.Nick: But, soft! What light through yonder window breaks? (He looked into Addison's eyes) It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. See, how she leans her cheek upon her hand (he gently take her hand in his), O that I were a glove upon that hand, that I might touch that cheek! (He moves both of their hand up her cheek and touched his forehead to hers.)Addison: (she whispered) O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name; or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, (she embraces him tightly and doesn't let go) and I'll no longer be a Capulet. (She let's go of him and grabs his hands. Then, she looks into his eyes.) Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, that I shall say good night till it be morrow. (Nick's hand goes to Addison's cheek and Addison's hand wrap around Nick's neck lovingly. They both lean in for the kiss; Nick is so close to Addison that he can smell the perfume on her neck.)MM: (Interrupts) That will be enough children (she smiled), thank you. You may go.Nick slowly let go of Addison's cheek and she removed her hands from his neck. They both smiled and then looked down because they were embarrassed. Nick helped Addison down from the stage and they left without another word from Mrs. Macintosh.Addison: that was a little weird.Nick: were we that bad?Addison: I thought we did okay. Nick's thoughts: I thought that we did amazing! She looked at me like...like...like she loved me. We almost kissed...that would have been perfect. Is it wrong of me to wish that we get the parts, just so that we have to do that? Addison's thoughts: Nick is either an amazing actor, or he loves me. What am I saying...he doesn't love me, he loves Jen, right? But no matter what he feels; I am irrevocably in love with him. Is it wrong of me to wish that we get the parts, just so that we have to do that?Nick: do you want to go somewhere?Addison: what? We have class.Nick: we have that assembly later, so we won't miss much. Come on, let's get away.(He smiled his famous grin)Addison: so what, you want to just skip?Nick: I want to go somewhere, somewhere with you. Addison: Well... tomorrow Thanksgiving break starts and the teachers aren't going to give us any work today. (She thinks about it) So...let's go! Nick: come on.Nick grabbed her hand and they ran out the front doors.Addison: where are we going?Nick: I don't know.They both laughed and they kept walking, hand in hand.Addison: this is fun.Nick: yeah, it is. (He gripped her hand a little tighter and smiled.)Addison: where do you want to go?Nick: I think I know a good place.Addison: lead the way Nicholas.Nick started walking toward the mystery place and Addison laughed. Nick looked over at her questioningly.Nick: what's so funny? Addison: we cut class (she laughed). I mean, we are the goody two shoes in our class and we cut... it is just kind of funny.Nick: yeah (he laughed) I guess it is funny. (Nick looked up) We're here.Addison: so this is where you brought me...its perfect.Nick: this is the park that we used to play in as kids.Addison: I remember.Nick: come on, I want to check something.Nick led Addison across a small bridge and over to a secluded area in the park. There was one large tree and Nick strolled over to it. He let go of Addison's hand and started to circle the tree. He stopped and laughed.Nick: it's still here (he laughed again).Addison: what?Nick: when we were seven, we carved our names into a tree...this tree. I can't believe that it's still here.Addison: I forgot about that. She walked over to the other side of the tree, where Nick was. Addison: (She reads it out loud) Nick and Addison 4- Ever! (She laughs) Nick: It's true you know.Addison: what?Nick: we will be together forever. I think that the past month has proved that we will always be friends.Addison: I agree. You know, this has been an amazing day.Nick: it's because of me and my great ideas.Addison: you are so silly.Nick: why don't we get some ice cream and then head home?Addison: now that is a great idea.They went over to a kiosk and got their ice cream, and then they started walking home. By this time school was over, so they didn't have to worry about getting busted. They tossed their ice cream in the trash before going inside so that no one would know that they skipped school. When they walked through the door, they heard Mrs. Jonas.Mrs. J: Nick, Addison, come in here please.________________________________________Oh no!...did Mrs. Jonas find out that the Nick and Addison skipped?!
